Melanie Buck | Episode 12

October 17, 2017

This interview was recorded at my kitchen table on September 26, 2017. Melanie was full of life, joy and love. A native of Nebraska, she and her husband, Paul Buck, made their home at "Ranchita Liebre" in Landers, California. Melanie called it their 'little slice of Hi-Desert heaven". A local librarian, Melanie had a passion for literacy, motorcycles and enjoyed crafting rag rugs. In this episode, Melanie talked about 'magic desert people', raising Nigerian Dwarf goats, Heritage chickens and the anticipation of their newest addition: baby boy, Joe Claude, who was born October 19, 2017. Melanie left this world on December 3, 2017.

Our Hi-Desert community feels a great loss of this woman who was such a beautiful soul and absolutely loved her desert life.
